Congenital Nevi
Congenital nevi are present at birth and result from a proliferation of benign melanocytes in the dermis, epidermis, or both. Congenital melanocytic naevi are usually classified by size.
There are several different classifications.
- Small congenital melanocytic naevi
- Medium congenital melanocytic naevi
- Large or giant congenital melanocytic naevi
