Abstract:

The aim of this study is test practice and knowledge of community pharmacists regarding dispensing and counseling Vitamin B Complex as a treatment for diabetic neuropathy. The researcher used the analytical and statistical methodology to study and evaluate the data which has been collected regarding the knowledge and practice among community pharmacies in Eastern Nile Area. This study has obtained several results mainly; Vitamin B Complex has not effectiveness to treat diabetic neuropathy. Also it has been obtained that most of community pharmacists dispense Vitamin B Complex as a treatment for diabetic neuropathy. It has been found that there is a significant relationship between experience of community pharmacists and what they think about dispensing Vitamin B Complex to treat diabetic neuropathy. The study has recommended that more high-quality, randomized controlled trials are needed to confirm the effects of vitamin B Complex on diabetic neuropathy. Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians should receive periodic training about general dispensing procedures and updating information concerning different drugs.

Mohammed Hashim Elrofaie Sayed has completed his B Pharmcy National Ribat University and post graduation study from Sudan International University and has worked in Sudanese People Livening with HIV Care Association as drug supply director, and has more than 12 contribution in relevant conferences.
