Biography

Dr. Younsoo Bae received his Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of Tokyo, School of Engineering. Dr. Bae did his first post-doctoral training at the University of Tokyo, School of Engineering, and subsequently worked as a Project Research Associate, at the Center for NanoBio Integration, School of Medicine, Division of Clinical Biotechnology, the University of Tokyo. He did his second post-doctoral training at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, School of Pharmacy. Dr. Bae is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy, at University of Kentucky.

Research Interest

Dr. Bae’s current research interests involve the development of polymer nanoassemblies for controlled combination delivery of various therapeutic agents, such as anticancer drugs, nucleotide drugs and contrast agents, to solid tumors. These polymer nanoassemblies can be used for effective detection, diagnosis, and treatment of cancers at low toxicity.
