Biography

Dr. Najm received a B.S. degree in Medical Sciences and a Medical Doctorate from the Universite Libre de Bruxelles in Brussels, Belgium. In addition, he obtained a M.S. in Education from the University of Southern California - Los Angeles. He completed a residency in family practice at St. Francis Hospital- University of Southern California- in Lynwood, California. He completed a fellowship in Geriatrics at University of California, Irvine and a mini-fellowship in ethno-geriatrics at Stanford University, Palo Alto, California. Dr. Najm joined the faculty at the University of California – Irvine in 1994 where he occupied several leadership positions as Associate Residency Director, Predoctoral director and medical director of the SSCIM clinic at the University of California – Irvine. He has conducted several clinical researcher projects focused on aging and the use of complementary and alternative medicine.
