Biography

Dr. Sanggon Nam is an Associate Professor of Public Health in the Department of Public Health Sciences at California Baptist University. He earned his M.S. in Sociology at Clemson University and his Ph.D. in Preventive Medicine and Community Health at University of Texas Medical Branch. His research interests include health disparities in minority aging, global obesity, disability & mortality among older adults, and minority health (Mexican-Americans, African-Americans, Latin Americans and the Caribbean, and Asian Americans). He is the first author in more than 10 research papers including Journal of the American Geriatrics Society, Geriatrics & Gerontology International, Archives of Gerontology and Geriatrics, and etc.
