Biography

Naoko HORII holds a MSc in Public Health Nutrition and a Ph.D. in Demography. She worked during the last 14 years for international organizations and research institutes in Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia on child health & nutrition, food security and TB/HIV. Her recent scientific work focused on investigating socio-economic vulnerability inhibiting early initiation of breastfeeding in Sub-Saharan Africa to conduct impact assessment of a UNICEF led community based program of behavior change for promoting neonatal and child health care at the Center of Population & Development, University of Paris Descartes.
