Biography
Dr. Michael Theodor Thiel, born 1967, graduated from Medical School of University of Duisburg/Essen, Germany, in 1988. He received his training in pediatrics and neonatology at Duisburg Hospital, University of Essen, Germany. From 2001 to 2005 he was consultant neonatologist at the Florence-Nightingale-Hospital in Düsseldorf-Kaiserswerth, where he established a level 1 neonatogy and started to learn aspects from naturopathy. From 2006 to 2008 he was consultant neonatologist and for pediatric intensive and critical care at Evangelisches Krankenhaus Hamm. Because of his research interest he is now consultant neonatologist and vice director of the department for pediatrics at Gemeinschaftskrankenhaus Herdecke; Witten/Herdecke University, Faculty of Health, School of Medicine since 2008.
Research Interest
Integrative Neonatology. He is one of the very few scientists who investigates complementary and alternative methods in neonatology.
