Research Interest

Study Pharmacokinetic and Pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) relationships in the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary of disease (COPD), with focus to inhaled glucocorticoids and other anti-inflammatory agents. Development and validation of bioanalytical assays to quantify drug concentrations in biological fluids. Study the biopharmaceutical aspects in the development of drugs with focus on inhalation route. The inhalation route of drug administration can be used to deliver drugs for systemic and/or local action. With the increase in biotechnology derived drugs such as proteins, the inhalation route is an interesting alternative to parental injection.
