Biography

In 2002, Dr. Chen became a Lecturer in Family Medicine at the National Yang-Ming University, an Assistant Professor in Family Medicine at the National Yang-Ming University in 2007, and obtained his associate professorship in 2010.Dr. Chen is the editor of several international and local journals, including Taiwan Geriatrics and Gerontology, Archives of Gerontology and Geriatrics and Case Reports in Medicine, and has published more than 80 peer-reviewed articles in the fields of geriatrics and gerontology. He has been awarded the Best Physician of the Year 2005, by the Taipei Veterans General Hospital, the Best Physician of the Year 2008, by the Veteran Affairs Commission, Executive Yuan and took second place in the Best Youth Researcher of the Year Award 2005 and 2006 from the Taiwan College of Family Physician.In 2009, Dr. Chen founded the Asia Pacific League of Clinical Gerontology and Geriatrics and became the founding chairman. This organization successfully invited research resources from Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, China and the United Kingdom to promote international research activities and the Asia Pacific League of Clinical Gerontology and Geriatrics published an international journal “Journal of Clinical Gerontology and Geriatrics” in 2010.
