Biography
Dr.Joe Robert Nocera completed his Post Doctoral from University of Florida (August 2007 - 2010). ph.D from the University of Georgia in August 2007.Currently he working as Research Scientist in Atlanta VAMC Rehabilitation R&D Center of Excellence,May 2012-Present and Assistant Professor in Emory University May 2012-Present.
Research Interest
My research focuses on understanding and improving the declines in physical and cognitive functioning commonly demonstrated in older adults and individuals with neurological disease.
The Specific Aims of my research are to determine:
-The impact of aging and disease on gait and balance.
-The relationship between mobility and cognitive executive functions.
-Longitudinal changes in mobility and cognitive executive functions brought on by disease and/or interventions, including physical exercise.
