Biography

Dr. Harish Garg associated with the School of Mathematics at Thapar University Patiala, India as an Assistant Professor. Prior to joining this University, Dr. Garg received a PhD in Applied Mathematics with specialization of Reliability theory and soft computing techniques, from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India in 2013 and an MSc in Mathematics from Punjabi University, Patiala, India in 2008. His research interest are in the field of Computational Intelligence, Multi-criteria decision making problems, Reliability theory, Optimization techniques, various nature inspired algorithms (e.g. genetic algorithms, swarm optimization), fuzzy and intuitionistic fuzzy set theory, Expert Systems. Application areas include wide range of industrial and structural engineering design problems. Garg has authored/co-authored over 115 technical papers published in refereed International Journals including Applied Intelligence, Applied Soft Computing, Experts Systems with Applications, Journal of Intelligent and Fuzzy Systems, Journal of Manufacturing Systems, Applied Mathematics & Computations, ISA Transactions, Computer and Industrial Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computational Intelligence, Computer and Operations Research, International Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and Knowledge-based Systems, Journal of Industrial and Management Optimization, International Journal of Intelligent Systems, Journal of Multiple Logic and Soft Computing, Japan Journal of Industrial and Applied Mathematics, and many more.
