Biography

Gianfranco Ferraccioli is Professor of Rheumatology and Director of the Division of Rheumatology and Postgraduate School of Rheumatology at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, in Rome, Italy. Winner of the 2° Ogryzlo Fellowship Award of the Canadian Society of Rheumatology, he trained at the Division of Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology at Mc Gill University in Montreal 1981-82. He became research associate at the Division of Rheumatology of the University of Parma in 1983, and moved to the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Udine in 1992. He became Professor of Rheumatology at the same University in 1999 and Director of the Division of Rheumatology and Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Udine 2000 - 2003, until when he took up his current post.
