Biography
Dr. Cristiano Pagnini, M.D., Ph.D., is a gastroenterologist and a researcher. He graduated at “Sapienza” University of Rome (Rome, Italy) in 1999, completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Modena (Modena, Italy) in 2003, worked as Research Associate at the University of Virginia (Charlottesville, VA, USA) in 2003-2005, and completed his PhD in Digestive Oncology in 2008 at “Sapienza” University of Rome. Now he is a post-doc fellow at “Sapienza” University and he is working at S.Andrea Hospital as consultant gastroenterologist.
Research Interest
Dr. Cristiano Pagnini research interests include the study of the intestinal microbiota in health and in inflammatory and neoplastic disease, basic and clinical investigation of probiotic bacteria utilization and of their potential mechanisms of action, and basic and clinical research in inflammatory bowel diseases.
