Biography

Dr Bikash Shrestha graduated from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, India in 2003 and completed his post-graduation in Paediatrics in 2012 . Presently, He is undergoing fellowship training in Neonatology in Fortis La Femme Hospital, New Delhi, under the National Neonatology Forum of India. His field of interest is neonatology, besides pediatric neurology, pediatric cardiology, critical care, nutrition and behaviour and developmental paediatrics. His Present research activities include 1. The study of prevalence of hepatitis A in paediatric population with hepatitis in a tertiary care centre in Nepal. 2. A pilot study to validate the CDC growth charts and WHO growth charts in school children in Kathmandu, Nepal. 3. The study of pattern of preterm birth weights in a tertiary care centre in India. 4. The study of correlation of thrombocytopenia in iron deficiency anemia in children in a tertiary care centre in Nepal. 5. The significance of leucopenia in culture proven enteric fever in a tertiary care centre in Nepal.
