Biography
Holman, STAR Program Research Director, has been involved in the research and care of HIV and related diseases for most of her career. She currently oversees the Women's Interagency HIV Study, HIV clinical trials, a retention in care study as well as other research projects at SUNY-DMC. She is also actively involved in STAR's international training projects. Prior to her tenure with STAR, Ms. Holman coordinated the Perinatal HIV Transmission Study. She also served four years as Project Director of the Obstetrical HIV Counseling/Testing/Care Initiative with the NYS AIDS Institute and is a founding and former board member of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care. Ms. Holman is Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine and is a NYS licensed adult nurse practitioner.
