Biography
He is presently working as Associate Professor, in the Department of Post Harvest Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh-India. He has his B.Tech. and M.Tech. degrees in Food Technology and Engineering. His research area is Meat Preservation and Processing. He has completed his Ph.D. degree in the same area. He has been associated with Adhoc Research Projects Funded by ICAR, Delhi, between 1999-2008. He is member of several Scientific Societies. Presently he is team leader in one of the projects of AICRP on Post Harvest Technology. The project is on utilization of by-products of meat industry. He has published thirty seven research papers in the Journals of National and international repute. Names of the some of the Journals are: Journal of Food Science and Technology, International Journal of Food Properties, Meat Science (from Elsevier series), Journal of Agricultural Engineering, Beverage and Food World. He has published a book entitled Utilization of byproducts for meat industry published by Lamberts Publisher Germany. He has contributed five book chapters in the book Food Processing: Strategies for Quality Assessment published by Springer. He had supervised thirty nine M.Tech. Desertions covering several topics including Baby Food, Snack Food, Fruit and vegetable products, Meat sausages: fresh, Emulsion, dry and semi dry sausages. He obtained ISAE-2004 Team Award for his research work on Meat Preservation.Currently he has three PhD students and one has been already awarded Ph.D. in 2011 and one has submitted the Ph.D.Thesis in 2014
