Biography

Graduated and post graduated from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi (India) in Psychology. M.Phil. in Medical and Social Psychology from Ranchi Institute of Neuropsychiatry and Allied Sciences (RINPAS), Ranchi and Ph.D. from KGMU, Lucknow, U.P. India. Member of professional bodies of Indian Association of Clinical Psychologists (IACP), Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), Industrial Psychiatry Journal, Indian Association for Geriatric Mental Health and Editorial board member of Journal of Gerontology and Geriatric Research. Recipient of IAGMH/Intas awards 6 times; S.C. Gupta Young Scientist Award-2013 from the IACP. Published more than 25 research articles in different indexed and peer reviewed journals and a chapter in a book, “Psychiatric Update” published by Indian Psychiatric Society. Supplement editor of Indian Journal of Geriatric Mental Health of year 2013. Presented more than 20 papers in different national and international conferences. Co –guide of two Ph.D. thesis work. Major scientific fields of interest are Geriatric Mental Health, development and adaptation of psychological tools, cognitive functions, quality of life, and personality. ….
