Biography
Patricia Kolb MA, MSW, PhD Professor has extensive professional practice experience as a Gerontological social worker in both community-based programs and a nursing home. She is the author of Understanding Aging and Diversity: Theories and Concepts (Routledge, 2014), editor of Social Work Practice with Ethnically and Racially Diverse Nursing Home Residents and Their Families (Columbia, 2007), and author of Caring for Our Elders: Multicultural Experiences with Nursing Home Placement (Columbia, 2003).Dr. Kolb traveled to Brazil and South Africa as a delegate in National Association of Social Work People-to-People delegations and has researched gerotranscendence theory and practice in Sweden.
