Biography
Dr. Papanikolaou Seraphim is Professor of Food Science & Technology at the Agricultural University of Athens, Iera Odos. He received his BA in Specialization: "Biotechnologies et Industries Alimentaires" in 1994. Dr.Papanikolaou Seraphim received his Ph.D. in Doctorat I.N.P.L., Ι.Ν.Ρ.L.-C.N.R.S.-France. Specialization “Microbial Biochemistry and Biotechnology”.Supervisor: Dr. Ivan Marc, Research Director (1st class) C.N.R.S. in Biotechnology. Mention “Très Honorable” from 1995-1998. He was a post-doctoral fellow at Agricultural University of Athens, Iera Odos November 2000-October 2001 in Department of Agricultural Biotechnology, Laboratory of General & Agricultural Microbiology. Dr.Papanikolaou Seraphim research interests include Fermentation Biotechnology; Kinetics and Biochemistry of accumulation and degradation of storage lipids by molds and yeasts; Biotechnological valorization of agro-industrial wastes and residues; Production of microbial metabolic products (microbial lipids, citric acid, 1,3-propanediol, enzymes).
