Biography
Baban SI is awarded PhD in Hydrology (Marine Science) from Bombay University ( India) in the 1995. He holds a Master Degree in Fisheries from Konkan Krishi Vidhyapeeth India in the 1981 followed by a Diploma in Japanese Language Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan, 1989. He has extended his valuable service as a Scientist in National Institute of Oceanography, Dona Paula, Goa for 27 years and has been a recipient of many award and grants. Currently, he is working as an Scientist for National Institute of Oceanography. His international experience includes various programs, contributions and participation in different countries for diverse fields of study. His research interests as a Scientist reflect in his wide range of publications in various national and international journals. He is the Editorial Board Member of Journal of Coastal Zone Management and serves as a member of various associations Member of the International Steering Committee for Censes of Marine Life COMARG, Member of the International Steering Committee for Censes of Marine Life Sen Ceam and many more.
