Biography
Shakeel Ahmed is currently working as Senior Research Fellow at department of Chemistry, Jamia Millia Islamia (a central university), New Delhi, where he is working on synthesis of biopolymer blended films for antimicrobial food packaging. His areas of interest are polymer nanocomposites, biocomposites, green synthesis of silver nanoparticles, Insitu encapsulation of nanoparticles in polymeric films for wound care and biodegradable food packaging. On these topics, he has authored more than 15 referred journal papers and contributed 3 book chapters. He is a member of American Chemical Society (ACS), associate member of Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC); life members of Asian Polymer Association and Society of Materials Chemistry. He is the active reviewer of several reputed journals like European journal of medicinal chemistry, Applied surface science, Journal of Advanced Chemical Engineering, etc.
