Dr. Tantisira received his M.D from the University of Pittsburgh and M.P.H. from the Harvard School of Public Health. Following a residency that combined training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the LAC/USC Medical Center, he completed fellowship training in both pediatric pulmonology and in adult pulmonary and critical care medicine via the Massachusetts General Hospital. Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Associate Physician at the Brigham and Women's Hospital. His major research focus is on the genetic and genomic predictors of drug treatment response in asthma. In addition, he has broad expertise in asthma and genetic epidemiology and in population based genomic studies. He has authored over 80 scientific articles, 15 reviews, and 8 book chapters. He is a member of the American Thoracic Society and the American Society for Human Genetics.
