Dr. Jin Hee Kwak has received her D.D.S./M.S. at UCLA School of Dentistry during the period of 2010-2013. Currently, she is working as a faculty at UCLA School of Dentistry. In addition to clinical research in orthodontics and craniofacial deformities, she has been involved extensively in translational bone regenerative research. She focuses on the development of systemically applicable bone regenerative therapeutics for the treatment of osteoporosis and for the improvement of post-surgical bone healing in medically compromised patients. Based on these clnical and translational medicine research, she has received several awards and honors, such as: • IADR/AADR 2011, Colgate Research in Prevention Travel Award • IADR/AADR 2011, Finalist in the Johnson & Johnson Hatton Awards Competition (Senior category) • 2014 AADR Johnson & Johnson Hatton Award (Senior category) She is serving as an expert reviewer for journals Tissue Engineering and Oral Health and Dental Management. She has authored several research articles on Tissue Engineering, Biomaterials, American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics (AJO-DO) and Angle. She is a member of International and American Association of Dental Research (IADR/AADR), American Association of Orthodontics (AAO), American Dental Education Association (ADEA), and American Dental Association (ADA).
