Biography
Kelvin Bai joined BMS in 2012 in Analytical Development as a Scientist I and has been a contributor to the commercial and late stage portfolio development (Abatacept, Nivolumab, Elotuzumab). He advances his knowledge and skills in several areas of biophysics research including CD, DSC, SEC-MALS and has been applying his expertise to early and mid-stage portfolio projects and scientific investigations. Prior to joining BMS, Kelvin worked in Bioanalytical Science Department at Wuxi Apptec for 3 months and in the group of formulation development at Centocor, a subsidiary of Johnson and Johnson Company for 8 months. Kelvin holds a Ph.D. degree in medicinal chemistry from University of Illinois at Chicago.
Research Interest
Protein/Analytical Chemist with extensive experience in therapeutic protein drug development. Biophysical and biochemical characterization and analysis; analytical method development and validation; Immunological, biochemical, and cell-based assay development; protein formulation and stability; protein mass spectrometry and proteomics.
