Biography

Dr. Chad Bousman completed his PhD at the University of California, San Diego with emphasis in genetic epidemiology. Dr. Bousman also holds a Master degree in public health from San Diego State University and Bachelor degrees in sociology and community health education from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He is currently a Senior Research Fellow within the Department of Psychiatry at The University of Melbourne. His research focuses on both psychotic and mood disorders as well as antipsychotic and antidepressant response. His work involves identification and evaluation of genetic and pharmacogenetic biomarkers that have potential for implementation into routine clinical practice. Dr. Bousman also holds Adjunct and Honorary positions within the Centre of Human Psychopharmacology at Swinburne University of Technology, University of Melbourne Department of General Practice, and the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health.

Research Interest

His research focuses on both psychotic and mood disorders as well as antipsychotic and antidepressant response.
