Abstract:

"What's perio" is a mission to inform general practitioners with the importance of periodontoology beside other dental specialities in dental routine work through group of basic and advanced courses were held across Egypt.The lectures include "What's perio" dicussing the importance of peiodontology and what happens if we neglect it, in addition to interactions of thsis speciality with other dental specialities."How to diagnose a periodontal disease" discussing the basic clincial features of any periodontal disease and tips & tricks used in diagnosis of periodontal diseases."How to treat a periodontal disease" discussing Treatment options available for any periodontal disease and how to select between them. "Bony defects & patterns of bone destruction" discussing Diagnosis of different morphological shapes of bone destruction resulted from a periodontal disease and how to manage them. "Guided-tissue regeneration" discussing the concept of bone and periodontal fibers regeneration for treatment of a periodontal disease.
The workshop will be on cadever heads including:
1. Difference between full thickness flap "Papilla preservation flap, Enenvlope flap" & partial thickness flap "Coronally advanced flap".
2. Types of sutures. "Figure of eight, Single sling, Continuous sling independen suture".
3. Bone graft & membrane placement techniques.
