Abstract:

Currently one of the trends in implant restoration is screw and cement retained prosthesis (SCRP). This technique combines advantages of both the screw and the cement retained methodologies. The engaged abutment to implant and to superstructure is fabricated with a screw access hole occlusally and is cemented to the crown. This allows easy maintenance when the inner screw has been loosened or when the luting cement has washed-out. One drawback of this technique is that it makes it difficult to remove the bound abutment from the implant, especially if there is an internal conical sealed connection. The purpose of this presentation is to introduce an innovation devise that was develop to easy remove the cold welded connection abutments and restoration, when the retreat is necessary, creating this technique more predictable and comfortable for the patient.
