Abstract:

In the long history of dental treatments, the main objectives have always been to develop functionality and aesthetic aspects, and treatments have focused on oral cavity only. However, while treating patients by taking into account their entire body condition, I have made the following findings: 1. Impact of amalgam and resin fillings, gold-silver-palladium alloy and metalrelated skin allergies, and development of an Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity (EMS) due to those dental fillings acting like an antenna; 2. Links between periodontal disease and diabetes, periapical lesion/infection and auto-immune disease, occlusion and headache, lower back pain, neck pain, knee pain and walking difficulties; 3. Cerebral disease triggered by over stimulation of periodontal membrane due to occlusal pressure. Therefore dentists should carefully consider the effects of dental treatments on the entire body of their patients. Next, case reports will be about the working mechanisms of: 1) Joint pain diagnosed as rheumatism, improved by occlusal adjustment of a few microns and separating the connected crowns, resulting in improvement of the blood test data. 2) Unidentified asthenia with walking difficulties improved after the removalmetal core. 3) Improvement in walking difficulties was caused by chipping.

Biography :

Emi Okuda studies techniques in dental treatment, taking into account the whole body under the guidance of Professor Yoshiro Fujii from 2002. In 2005, she opened the "Emi Dental Clinic" in Kobe Japan. Her areas of interest are treatment of headaches, incurable lower back pains, electromagnetic sensitive syndrome, chronic fatigue syndrome, autoimmune disease, and dementia. In 2011, she relocated the "Emi Dental Clinic" to Tokyo Japan. She then became the President of the Association for "Thinking the connection between dental occlusion and the whole body”. She educates dental surgeons about how to treat occlusal adjustment by a few microns, while giving conferences and seminars. She regularly writes articles about the importance of the connection between the whole body and the oral cavity. She actively promotes the evolution of a medical care system based on fragmented medical acts towards a comprehensive cooperation between medical doctors and dentists.
