Abstract:
Conventional chemotherapeutic agents are neither targeted nor specific to cancer cells. As a result, the development of dosage forms and platform technologies containing chemotherapeutic agents capable of targeting neoplastic cells is highly desired. Our research aimed to develop sustained-release microencapsulated drug formulations using spray drying as a platform technology for the delivery of chemotherapeutic agents. Our poster will provide data on the enhanced delivery of chemotherapeutic agents formulated using microencapsulation.
