Abstract:

Orthontic treatments are reaching every day more and more best results in terms of aesthetic and healthy parameters, achieving the best in terms of patient’s satisfaction and medical target. Unfortunately the increasing percentage of patients affected from Periodontal Disease is a very frequent co-morbities and situation that has to be considered before and during the Orthodontic treatment. In fact this inflammatory and multi-factoral Periodontal disease we now know that is linked with other systemic disease like CV disease, Diabetes type 2, Metabolic Syndrome and many other. These Systemic disease are very affecting and negative for the patient, the population but also the economic Hospital compound, with very heavy and unpleasant consequences. So the possibility to diagnose, understand and treat the Inflammatory Periodontal Disease is a condition and necessity that International research and Scientific Literature has demonstrated mandatory very clearly in the last ten years. Through an attempt examination of the actual evidences in Literature, few clinical cases and examples, the presentation will afford the delicate and correct Ortho- Perio LINK, giving very useful trick and tips for successful and healthy clinical treatments either in Perio and Ortho. We will afford the different aspects of the two most interesting Areas of the Dental Science, from the Biofilm Microbioma to the Occlusal forces used in Orthodontic therapies.

Biography :

Claudio Cesari is an Adjunct Professor of Periodontology at Universita Vita e Salute San Raffaele in Milan, Italy. With a wealth of expertise in periodontal care, Cesari contributes significantly to the field. He works closely with Prof. Massimo De Sanctis as the Head of the Periodontology department at HSR Dental Unit, led by Prof. Enrico Gherlone. Cesari’s dedication to research, education, and patient well-being makes him a respected figure in periodontal healthcare and academia..
