Abstract:
New Dental CAD/CAM systems are being developed and enter the profession on a regular basis. The future is here. The CEREC? CAD/CAM system revolutionized restorative dentistry. Having witnessed the introduction of the first generation of CEREC? in 1987, it has developed into a sophisticated chairside Acquisition unit and separate and precise milling unit. The clinical application of the system and the software leads a dentist on an exciting journey, with one goal in mind: The wellbeing of the patient. The standard of care has been redefined. The choice of materials offered to the dentist increases exponentially.
