Abstract:

Key performance indicators are used in nearly every industry as a way to judge performance and identify areas in which your business can improve. Dental offices have ignored KPI??s for many years while other industries have proven that monitoring these performance indicators can have a significant effect on the business?? bottom line. We will examine 40 Key Performance Indicators that every dental office should be looking at on a daily, weekly or monthly basis and the easiest way to calculate these numbers using the reports that your PMS will generate for you. When you think about new patients, are you looking at the NET number of patients you gained or lost in a month? Most offices see only the new ones coming out but never look at the ones that have fallen off of the hygiene schedule and disappear. Most offices are LOSING patients each month, even if they are getting 40 new patients a month. What is your downtime percentage for each provider in your office? What is your treatment plan acceptance rate? What are your overhead percentages for each of the 6 expense classes in a dental office? All these questions and more will be answered in this interactive class designed for dentists, practice owners, offices managers, front desk staff, and all team members in your dental office.
