Abstract:

A very important aspect of drug designing is to see that the newly developed drug does not harm the normal flora of the human body. E. coli is such normal microflora. Comparison of E. coli with the target pathogenic bacteria ensures that the identified drug target will not harm the normal flora of the human body. Moreover, comparison of pathogenic bacteria with E. coli also provides important clue on which toxic proteins are produced by the bacteria. Campylobacter genome was taken from Patric Virginia Bioinformatics Institute website. E. coli genome was NCBI. Multiple Alignment was done to compare the functional genes between Campylobacter and E. coli.
