Abstract:

Use of “simultaneous” rather than “sequential” mechanics can lead to greater control and efficiency. This can do with active early protocol with disarticulation and early light short elastics with conventional brackets or passive self-ligating brackets from the first niti wire. With the full protocol in class II deep bite and class II open bite. In high angle gummy smile class II cases with mandibular retrusion due to mandibular rotation we can use miniscrews for maxillary (dentoalveolar) impaction and mandibular rotation.
