Abstract:

Introduction: It is speculated that the demand for complete dentures will continuously increase in the next few decades. Efforts to improve the serviceability and technical quality of complete dentures are still ongoing. The introduction of digital technologies has led to significant advancements in the fabrication of partial and complete dentures. Digital manufacturing will change the face of dentistry in the near future in terms of treatment time and simplicity. These new technologies include computer-aided design/computer aided manufacturing (subtractive manufacturing) and three dimensional (3D) printing (additive manufacturing). Computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) and 3D printing systems launched interesting new stages in prosthodontics, particularly in removable prostheses productions. Some professionals stated that the complicated procedures of denture manufacturing are considered one of the main reasons for the delay in using digital technology for complete dentures compared to other fixed restorations. Having said that, the ongoing evolution of digital technologies is expected to overcome the difficulties, and to simplify the fabrication process. Conclusion: Both 3D Printed dentures and CAD-CAM dentures have their own advantages and disadvantages. Biography :

Dr. Priyanka Tiwari did her Bachelor�??s in Dental Surgery (BDS) from People�??s Dental Academy, Bhopal (M.P.), and India and did her Master�??s in Dental Surgery (MDS) in Prosthodontics from K.M. Shah Dental College & Hospital, Vadodara, (Gujarat), India. Completed a Certificate course by the name �??JADE: Joint Alliance Duke-NUS Education Certificate Program in Medical Affairs�?� in 2020 from Singapore Duke-NUS Medical University. She has 13 years of experience including teaching & clinical in various eminent hospitals, college and clinics. She practices Prosthodontics as well as general dentistry. In the beginning of her career, she was invited to appear LIVE twice on GSTV channel in the program name YES DOCTOR SHOW in year 2014 which made her a known face in her field in Gujarat, India. She has done numerous publications in various national & international journals. She has done many researches. She has always been part of reputed dental associations in India i.e. Indian Dental Association (IDA) and Indian Prosthodontic Society (IPS). She attended 20 national, interdisciplinary & international conferences. She presented papers, poster & performed table clinic. Also has organized, important dental conferences. She has been invited to become a Speaker and keynote speaker in many International Conferences. She is also a Reviewer in national & international journals and editorial board member in various international journals. She has a registered patent under her name.
