Biography

 Dr. Zhimon Jacobson completed his general practice residency at the Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois and subsequently graduated from Boston University School of Dental Medicine with a Masters of Science from the Prosthodontic Department. Dr. Jacobson was clinical director of the Postgraduate Prosthodontics from 1980-1996. In 1990, he established the Center for Implantology at Boston University where he served as director from 1990-2008. In 2001, Dr. Jacobson was named Director of the Division of Continuing Education at Boston University. In addition to his dual roles as director, Dr. Jacobson is a Clinical Professor of Prosthodontics in the Department of Restorative Sciences and Biomaterials. Dr. Jacobson also maintains a private practice in Boston, MA and lectures both nationally and internationally.

Research Interest

Implantology. Research interests focus on examining the effects of early loading of Colt 45 and 3I implant innovations titanium screw type implants in the posterior maxilla, and posterior mandible, as well as evaluating the immediate loading of dental implants in the mandible.
