Biography

Dr Zhenyu Jia is the Biostatistician in Department of Pathology Laboratory Medicine University of California Irvine USA. He earned his PhD at University of California Riverside USA. He has published 16 Reviewed papers. He has been teaching experience of more than 5 years. He was one of the members in American Statistical Association American Association for Cancer Research Pervasive Adaption and American Society of Human Genetics. He served as a reviewer of 18 peerreviewed journals in the areas of Bioinformatics Biostatistics and Cancer. He served as Program committee of two conferences.

Research Interest

Dr. Jia is particularly interested in development of statistical models for biological data analyses, such as microarray data analysis and genetic mapping. Currently, he works with Strategic Partners for the Evaluation of Predictive Signatures (SPECS) Program on prostate cancer research. They are now aiming to identify expression signatures that are correlated with aggressive prostate cancer and develop a new test that predicts the likely outcome of patients disease based on expression data that is available at the time of their diagnosis.
