Biography

Dr. Lingyong Li, PhD, is a staff scientist at Department of Anesthesiology of MD Anderson Cancer Center. Before moving to MD Anderson Cancer Center, he worked at Department of Pharmacology of Vanderbilt University medical center for studying the role of GPCR Kinases in drug addiction and Parkinson’s disease. Dr. Li got his PHD from Nanjing Agricultural University in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in China. He has over 10 years of research experience on Neuroscience and Neuropharmacology. Currently, his research focuses on the mechanisms of chronic neuropathic pain and morphine tolerance at cellular, molecular, circuitry, and system level. As first author, corresponding author, and co-author, he has published over 20 papers in international high profile journals. He also serves as editor-in-chief, editor, and reviewer for many international professional journals.
