Biography

Prof. Lakshmi Jambholkar is one of the most respected names in legal studies and research with more than 40 years of teaching experience and research output. She has worked with renowned institutions such as University of Delhi, IIFT, ICADR as a faculty member, conducting workshops and guiding research. She has also worked on research projects for NCW (NRI marriages) and Law Commission (Child Custody). She is now delivering extensive lectures all over India in prominent Law schools in the sphere of Private International Law and mediating in many ADR cases. She is life member of many eminent bodies like Indian Society of International Law, Indian Law Institute, Indian Council of Arbitration, International Council of Consultants, National Legal Services Authority, former Member of National Legel authority. She is on the panel of Conciliators of International Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution and Gender Advisory Group, Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs, Govt. of India, Member (part time) Law Commission of India. She was the Chief Editor of Indian Society of International Law Year Book of Humanitarian and Refugee Law ( 2001 – 2005 ); Editor, Indian Journal of International Law; and Member Editorial Board, Journal of International Council of Consultants. She has received accolades and rewards in the form of 20th Karnataka State Sammelan Award : Samman Patra in the recognition of her services in the area of legal studies, 2003 and Jewel of India Award, by International Business Council, 2004.
