Jibing Yang is a research fellow at the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care of University of Michigan. Prior to his current position, he is an associate director of laboratory animal center at Crown Biosciences, Inc, in charge of animal care and use program and animal facilities according to AAALAC standard. He received his MS in Biomedical and Veterinary Sciences from Virginia Tech and PhD in immunology from North Carolina State University in 2009. He is a member of American Thoracic Society. He has wide interests in many areas of basic biomedical sciences and veterinary medicine. His current research focuses on understanding the role of alveolar epithelial cells type II in the pathogenesis of human idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis using novel CKO mice as disease models.
