Biography

Ignacio Duran is the Associate Director of Clinical Research at START Madrid in Madrid Spain. He is also the Coordinator of Teaching and Urogenital Tumors Programs at the Centro Integral OncolÃgico Clara Campal CIOCC in Madrid Spain and Professor at the School of Medicine of Universidad San Pablo CEU MadridSpain. He earned his MD in 1997 at the Universidad de Salamanca in Salamanca Spain and his PhD in 2005 at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid Spain with highest commendation. He trained in Medical Oncology at the Hospital Universitario Son Dureta in Palma de Mallorca Spain and completed his Fellowship in Drug Development at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto Canada. Throughout his career Dr. Duran has spent significant time in distinguished national and international investigational centers such as the headquarters of the CSIC at the Universidad de Salamanca in Salamanca Spain Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome Italy Centre Hospitalier, Universitaire in Nantes France and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City NY.

Research Interest

Dr. Duran's major interests are genitourinary tumors, neuroendocrine tumors, and anticancer clinical drug development.
