Hua Dong

Biography

Dr. Hua Dong got her PhD degree in Analytical Chemistry from Michigan State University in 2009. Her PhD work was mainly focused on the investigation of neural control mechanisms of arteries and veins, and how these mechanisms are altered in saltsensitive hypertension by probing neurotransmitter, norepinephrine, release from sympathetic nerves of mesenteric arteries and veins in vitro using electrochemical method. And she was awarded dissertation completion fellowship for the significant findings for her PhD work. She then moved to University of California at Davis to continue academic career as a post doctoral research associate. Her research involves metabolomics study in different types of inflammatory disease models, pharmacokinetics study for soluble epoxide hydrolase sEH inhibitors, and analytical chemistry method development LC/MS/MS and GC/MS to address biological problems.
