Biography

Hitoshi Komatsuzawa completed his D.D.S. from Hiroshima University School of Dentistry in 1889 and Ph.D from Graduate School of Dentistry, Hiroshima University in 1992. In 1992, he was a research associate at Departement of Bacteriology, Graduate School of Dentistry, Hiroshima University, and became an associate professor in the same departemt in 2000. In 2008, he was a professor at Deparment of Oral Microbiology, Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences, Kagoshima University.
He is the member of Japanese Society for Bacteriology, Japanese Association for Oral Biology and American Society for Microbiology.
He has authored and co-authored more than 100 papers and book chapters in dental and medical leterature.
