Research Interest

Toxicity studies of nanostructures and heavy metals with biological systems with an emphasis on elucidating the relationship between the physical and chemical properties (e.g. size, shape, surface chemistry, composition, and aggregation) of heavy metals, nanostructures or nanoparticles with induction of toxic biological response. Dr. Patlolla extensively worked on the toxicokinetics, molecular mechanisms of toxicity and histopathology of heavy metals and nanomaterials in animal models. She has expertise in Genotoxicity Bioassay such as Chromosomal aberrations, Micronucleus Test and Comet assay.
