Zaharah Ibrahim

Biography

Zaharah Ibrahim is currently working as an associate Professor at Faculty of Biosciences and Medical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Teaching for several subjects at the level of both undergraduates and postgraduates, and supervised many students at Master and Ph.D level, especially in the area of Environmental Bioengineering scope. She is a recipient of many awards and grants for his valuable contributions and discoveries in major area of research. She is the Editor-in-Chief/Editorial Board Member of many peer reviewed journals and his area of expertise credits him with many publications in national and international journals. He is committed to highest standards of excellence and it proves through his authorship of many books.

Research Interest

Environmental biotechnology, focusing on the bioremediation of inorganic compounds (toxic heavy metals), naturally occurring organic and man-made (xenobiotic) compounds.
