Biography
Dr. Yo Niida has received his MD in 1990 and PhD in 1996 from Kanazawa University, Ishkawa, Japan. Currently, he is working as an Associate Professor of Division of Genomic Medicine, Department of Advanced Medicine, Medical Research Institute, Kanazawa Medical University, Ishikawa, Japan. Also he is working as a Director of Center for Medical Genetics, Kanazawa Medical University Hospital. His research has included clinical genetics, development and application of mutation analysis methods, pediatric neurology and developmental disorders. He has published numerous papers analyzing mutations of various genetic diseases by original analytical method developed by him. He is a member of American Society of Human Genetics.
Research Interest
Development and application of DNA and/or chromosomal mutation analysis methods. Molecular mechanisms of multiple congenital anomalies syndromes. Molecular mechanism of higher functions of the brain. In particular developmental disorders.
