Biography
Yantasee graduated from Oregon State University with a MS (1999) and PhD (2001) in Chemical Engineering as well as an MBA (2001). She had worked as a Scientist at DOE’S Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) from 2001-2009. Currently, she is an Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) School of Medicine and the President of PDX Pharmaceuticals. Her research interest is on the development of functionalized nanomaterials for medical applications such as siRNA and drug delivery for cancer therapies and oral therapies for toxic metal exposure. She has served as the principal investigator for many grants and a contract from NIH including NIDDK, NIEHS, NIOSH, NIGMS, and NCI. She has also served as an editorial board member for several nano-related journals and a scientific reviewer for NIH's Biomaterials and Biointerfaces (charter member) and other panels for NIH and DOE.  
Research Interest
