Biography
 Xin-Hui Xing is a Professor and Director at Institute of Biochemical Engineering, Tokyo University, Japan. He had his PhD from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan in 1992, and M.S in Utsunomiya University, Japan in 1989 and B.S. from South China University of Technology in 1985. His current research interests include: 1) development of Rapid and visible quantification tools for bioprocess control and optimization by using fusion protein technology; 2) real-time functional analysis and construction of a multi-species microbial coupling systems 3) construction of novel NADH regeneration systems and their applications; 4) functional analysis of new hydrogenases and their applications; 5) cell membrane engineering and control of electron transport across the cells; 6) genetic engineering of methanotrophs and the reconstructions of metabolic pathway; 7) production of soluble heparinase I fused with affinity tags and the enzymatic process for clean production of low molecular weight heparin; 8) system biological engineering of Streptomyces sps.; 9) metabolic and bioprocess engineering for enhanced bio hydrogen production with higher H2 yield from biomass; 10) mechanism of atmospheric-pressure low temperature plasma acting on microorganisms and the plasma biotechnology; 11) high cell density culture of methanotrophes and their bio industry applications; 12) biological systems for wastewater treatment capable of on-site reduction of excess sludge; 13) application of microbubble system in industrial and environmental biotechnology. He is a recipient of many awards and grants for his valuable contributions and discoveries in major area of research. He is the Editor-in-Chief/Editorial Board Member of many peer reviewed journals and his area of expertise credits him with many publications in national and international journals. He is committed to highest standards of excellence and it proves through his authorship of many books.
