Biography

Professor Sungkanuparph gained his medical degree from Mahidol University, where he subsequently specialised in internal medicine and infectious diseases. He had also trained infectious diseases from Washington University School of Medicine, USA. His fields of scientific interest include HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and cryptococcosis. He has published over 200 articles in international peer-reviewed journals such as Clinical Infectious Diseases, AIDS, JAIDS, Lancet Infectious Diseases, and Journal of Antimicrobial Therapy. He is also a reviewer for many leading infectious diseases journals. His current position is Professor of Medicine at Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, part of Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand.
