Shahab AA Nami

Biography

Dr. Shahab Ali Asghar Nami obtained his Master's and Ph.D. degree in Chemistry during the year 2002 and 2005, respectively under the supervision of Prof. K. S. Siddiqi, Department of Chemistry, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India. Before joining the Department of Kulliyat, Dr. Nami served as Senior Lecturer, Taylor's University, Malaysia. Dr. Nami's area of interests includes Coordination Chemistry, Organometallic Chemistry and Bioinorganic Chemistry. Dr. Nami has successfully completed one FAST Track Young Scientist project worth Rs. 16,62,00/-(INR) offered by D.S.T., New Delhi while the second project worth Rs. 8,66,200/-(INR) is in progress. Besides, two other projects are under consideration for financial assistance in C.S.I.R. and D.S.T. respectively. Dr. Nami has published some interesting papers in leading International journals like Polyhedron, Inorganica Chimica Acta, Journal of Organometallic Chemistry etc. Dr. Nami is teaching general chemistry to Pre-Tib students and Industrial Chemistry at Department of Chemistry, A.M.U. at undergraduate and post-graduate levels. Recently, Dr. Nami has also worked as Postdoctoral Fellow at Dongguk University, South Korea.

Research Interest

Dr. Shahab Ali Asghar Nami research interest include  bioinorganic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, coordination chemistry and organometallic chemistry.
